    The Benefits of

    Installing a Water Softener

Protect your home or business from hard water!

There are many benefits to having a water softener system installed in your home or business. From cleaner clothes to healthier skin, the advantages go on and on! Below, we’ve listed some of the most notable benefits of water softening systems.

    Cleaner Dishes, Laundry, & Equipment
    Cleaner Dishes, Laundry, & Equipment
Hard water can dry out materials like fabrics, dulling your clothes’ color, and making the fabric harder. It can also leave a white residue and water stains on your dishes and silverware. Not to mention, scale buildup can wreak havoc on your appliances or equipment. With a water softener, all of these issues are addressed, leaving you with bright, soft laundry, cleaner dishes, and longer-lasting equipment.
    Healthier Skin & Hair

Just like how hard water dries out fabrics, it can dry out your skin and hair too. This can end in itchy, dry skin and dull, damaged-looking hair. By incorporating a water softener, the water you wash with will be gentler on your skin and hair, allowing you to have cleaner, healthier skin, and hair.
    Salt-based Water Softeners
    Save Money

As hard water causes a buildup of scale in your pipes, appliances, and commercial equipment, it can shorten all these products’ lifespan. This means that you could spend a small fortune on repairs and replacements over the years. With a water softening system installed, you can make the most out of the life of your appliances and pipes, saving thousands on those costly repairs and replacements.
The Different Types of Water Softener Systems

We have the hard water solution to fit your specific needs!

We offer several types of water softeners that we can install in your home or business. Each offers its own functionality and benefits to suit your needs. Below, we’ll discuss these types of water softening systems and how they work!

    Salt-based Water Softeners

Salt-based water softeners are one of the most common types of water softeners that we install. These systems work through a process called ion exchange. When the positively-charged molecules of magnesium and calcium that make your water hard pass over the negatively-charged resin molecules in your softener, they form an ionic bond. This traps the magnesium and calcium and allows the softer water to pass through to your pipes. The brine tank’s salt flushes through the resin tank to keep the resin beads charged after so much water has passed through.
    Potassium-based Water Softeners
    Potassium-based Water Softeners

Potassium-based water softeners work much the same way as salt-based systems. The hard water’s positively-charged magnesium and calcium pass through the resin tank over the negatively-charged resin beads and form an ionic bond that traps these molecules. The main difference between these two systems is that instead of salt in the brine tank, there’s potassium. The potassium solution is used instead of salt to regenerate the resin tank’s charge when it diminishes. The significance of this is that some customers prefer potassium to be left in their water instead of sodium after it’s softened.
    Tankless Water Softeners
    Tankless Water Softeners

Tankless water softeners work in an entirely different way compared to traditional water softeners. Instead of actually removing the magnesium and calcium that makes your water hard, they physically alter them. Your water will still contain the magnesium and calcium molecules. However, they are changed to where they will not cause scale buildup. This alteration crystallizes the magnesium and calcium, rendering it unable to leave the water solution in the form of scale. This process allows you to keep these minerals in your water without the risk of damaging your pipes, appliances, faucets, or equipment.
